A brief history:
In the beginning, there was bluefireart.artshost.com, a small, obscure and poorly coded website created by a budding young artist interested in the ways of the web. A simple blue theme with cheesy mouseover links and sparse in content, bluefireart.artshost.com probably received less than 100 page views before it was retired, spawning a successor that took up residence at tripod.com.
Nap Town Art provided a more advanced interface for its viewers, additional content from other artists and a clean set of gray graphics conjured up in Photoshop 5.5. Nap Town Art saw a second permutation that was accompanied by a slight change in design and a bit of .css. The site can still be accessed at http://naptownart.tripod.com.
Finally, after several years using free, ad-clogged webspace, Creative Plains was launched on January 9, 2005 under its own .com URL and 500MB of space. Three versions of Creative Plains have graced the internet with their presence, each one signifying a leap in design and technique, engaging in .shtml, flash and skilled CS2 manipulation.
Creative Plains is home to the author, artist, composer, and photographer Trevor Gass, also know by his pen name, “Jacen Shaw.” If you are interested in having a portfolio of work posted on this site, please visit the Register page for more information.
